Description:
For Law Enforcement Personnel only, the program will enhance the education,
knowledge and skills of higher ranked law enforcement agents to better serve
their officers, departments and communities. Courses will be taught by
doctoral-level or Master’s level instructors with both broad experience in
areas of law enforcement and psychology and specialized expertise in
cognitive aspects of functioning and decision-making, international issues
in policing, police psychology, organized crime, drug trafficking, Special
Operations management, and law enforcement organizational administration.
The intended learner is a law enforcement administrator at the level of
Lieutenant or above who is currently seeking to promote to Captain or higher
rank. The courses offered within this program will focus on the topics
necessary for law enforcement leadership and management, as well as those
topics enhancing the training, knowledge and skills demanded by the changing
nature of crime, local and international, and society overall.
