Description:
The Department of Anthropology has trained graduate students in the
real-world applications of anthropological method and theory for almost 50
years. Our new MA related initiatives in Public Anthropology, our support
for critical studies in archaeology, and our Anthropology Ph.D. track in
Race Gender and Social Justice prepare students to address issues of public
policy, community struggle and other locally defined concerns in their
academic projects and in employment and activist domains outside of
academia.

Description:
The two-year interdisciplinary applied science master's program provides
science students with alternatives to research degrees. Emphasis is instead
focused on cultivating the practical and professional skills industry and
government demand. There are three concentrations students can choose from:
biotechnology, applied computing, and environmental science and assessment.
