Description:
The Baylor College of Medicine Program in Nurse Anesthesia accepts the
obligation of promoting excellence in the profession of anesthesia through
teaching and patient care. Nurse anesthesia is seen as evolving its practice
from societal and professional needs. The College believes that the master's
degree level of education is fundamental to preparing clinical anesthesia
practitioners and educators of the future. Together with the
anesthesiologist and surgeon, certified registered nurse anesthetists seek
to meet these needs for the provision of optimal health care.
