Description:
The MA is an application-based degree; students will complete a project that
may be an application or a synthesis of original research of others. The MS
is a research-based degree and will include a thesis based on original
research that makes a significant contribution to the body of scientific
knowledge. To assure breadth, all students will complete a core curriculum
consisting of at least one course from each of the following areas:
Ecology/Evolution, Systematic/Morphology, and Molecular Biology/Physiology.

Description:
This unique program allows students to focus their research efforts on the
biology of birds of prey while gaining a broad understanding of the
biological sciences. Boise State University is located near the Snake River
Birds of Prey Natural Area and near the World Center for Birds of Prey.

Description:
Emphasizing the art and craft of literary writing and concentrating on the
student's written work, students work closely with faculty and visiting
writers through seminars, conferences, and classroom interaction. Students
who intend to pursue a career in teaching literature and writing at the
college level have the opportunity to study the pedagogy of creative
writing; also offered are classes in the craft of literary publishing, with
coursework in both the production of a literary annual (The Idaho Review)
and of books for a small poetry-only press (Ahsahta Press).
