Description:
The program in animal behavior is administered by the departments of biology
and psychology. Students who have completed the program are working in areas
including medicine, the teaching of zoology, biology, and psychology, zoo
and museum development and administration, and as laboratory assistants. The
program requires two years of full-time work and consists of course work in
biology and psychology in addition to continuing research.

Description:
Eight courses are required for the master's degree, including the thesis.
Laboratories are well instrumented for graduate research in the areas listed
above. Facilities are also available for research in population genetics,
fire ecology, primary productivity of stream and lakes, resource allocation
in plant communities, and predator-prey studies of marine invertebrates.
