Description:
The Butler University College of Education offers two Educational
Administration programs from which to choose. Both are 36 credit-hour
programs. One of the programs, the Experiential Program for Preparing School
Principals (EPPSP) functions as a cohort system: A group of approximately 25
students begins the program each January. Students can begin the other
program, the Traditional Enrollment Pattern (TEP), any semester.

Description:
The Master of Education for Effective Teaching is designed to prepare
practicing teachers who seek to revitalize and enhance their skills in the
classroom. Students must choose one area of concentration from the
following: Elementary Grades, Middle Grades, Secondary Grades, Instructional
Technology, Reading, or Special Education. Theory-driven research translates
into best practice for student learning. Graduates demonstrate independent
and collaborative mastery of acquired knowledge and dispositions that
reflect the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards of
excellence. Students undertake constructive work in university and
field-based environments and communicate results of their learning through
performance-based projects. Professional growth incorporates learning in a
culminating experience centered in current issues and problems found in
local and regional schools.
