Engineering and Technology Innovation Management is an interdisciplinary program designed to equip professionals to understand innovation opportunities and to manage value creation, building on an excellent technical foundation. Description:
The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Carnegie Mellon offers both M.S. and Ph.D. programs, each with various interdisciplinary options. Graduate study in the department is designed to provide fundamental scientific knowledge and engineering methodologies for the development of professional engineering competence and scholarly ability. Each program is planned individually with faculty consultation to build upon the student's background and to meet the student's particular objectives.

At Carnegie Mellon, civil and environmental engineering has a long and respected tradition. Graduates from the program have developed as successful and contributing members of the practicing profession, as industrial leaders and world-class researchers, and as educators. Innovative research contributions have ranged from special tools for structural design to unique building materials, to environmental control technologies and background data on global air pollution. The present faculty are typical of this heritage--a group of diverse individuals representing a broad range of specialties. Their areas of interest and work tend to concentrate on the challenging and important problems at the frontier of knowledge.

The INI Pittsburgh-Silicon Valley Master of Science in Information Technology (MSIT) gives students the choice of three program tracks: MSIT-Mobility, MSIT-Information Security, and MSIT-Software Management.
