Description:
The program in Elementary Education is designed to meet the needs of the
classroom teacher of grades K-G. The student successfully fulfilling the program
requirements will qualify for North Carolina licensure at the Advanced level.
The program consists of 18 semester hours of core courses that under-gird all
Master's Degree programs at Catawba College, 12 semester hours of course work
focusing on the elementary school curriculum, and 6 semester hours of electives
which the student may use to address special interests such as educational uses
of computers, reading education, or academic content courses.
