Description:
Clarion University and Slippery Rock University jointly offer a Master of
Science in Nursing with a family nurse practitioner emphasis. This is a
forty-five credit degree program that builds on the knowledge and skills that
individuals obtain in baccalaureate nursing programs and provides opportunities
to apply advanced nursing knowledge and related theories to practice settings.
The Nurse Educator concentration is thrity-six credit hours and prepares nurse
educators to teach in undergraduate nursing programs. These students learn to
design, implement, and evaluate instruction.

This program is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting
Commission (NLNAC).

Description:
The major objective is to provide a basic core of knowledge about various
theories, techniques, and practices of administering business activities and
problem solving. In addition, candidates for the degree have an opportunity for
in-depth study in a particular area of interest. Specific objectives are to
prepare candidates for: positions in middle management with private and public
organizations; teaching positions in community colleges, and enrollment in
doctoral programs in business administration. The program is designed for
candidates with undergraduate degrees in fields other than business
administrations well as graduates of business degree programs. Graduate courses
are offered in the evening to facilitate attendance of employed or part-time
students.

Description:
As part of its committment to meeting the needs of all residents of the
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the Department of Library Science offers a variety
of distance education programs. These programs utilize various delivery
techniques, including on-site instruction, interactive television (ITV), and
Web-based delivery. ITV delivery involves two or more sections of the same
course that are taught simultaneously by the same instructor from a central
location. Students at remote sites participate in the class via two-way audio
and video. Courses offered via the World Wide Web may, at the instructor's
discretion, require some on-campus meetings.
