Description:
The graduate program in mathematics at Creighton is primarily aimed at students
possessing a Bachelor's degree in mathematics. Student that do have deficiencies
in their mathematical training are also encouraged to apply--frequently the
student can quickly remedy the deficiencies through coursework, based on
recommendations made by the graduate program director. Students can select from
concentrations in applied mathematics, engineering mathematics, operations
research, statistics, and computer science. The courses that make up the program
are offered on weeknights in order to accommodate students with full-time
positions in industry and the military. Courses are offered frequently enough to
allow students to graduate within two years.
