Description:
The 42 hour M.A. degree and 15 hour Graduate Certificate program enrolls
carefully selected students with a demonstrated ability in and commitment to
peacebuilding who wish to further prepare for conflict transformation work.
Six concentrations are available to allow students to focus on areas of
special interest: Restorative Justice; Conflict Transformation &
Peacebuilding; Trauma Healing and Peacebuilding; Conflict Transformation &
Organizational Leadership; Conflict Transformation & Education; Conflict
Transformation & the Congregation. We also offer a Summer Peacebuilding
Institute during May and June each year.
Accreditation Description:
Eastern Mennonite University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of
the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (1866 Southern Lane,
Decatur, Georgia 20033-4097: Telephone number 404-679-4501) to award
associate, baccalaureate and master degrees. The State Council of Higher
Education of Virginia has authorized EMU to confer the master of arts degree
in conflcit transformation, counseling, education and the master of business
administration.
