The Curriculum and Teaching Program has been designed for those wishing to
become certified as a secondary educator (in a specific academic area) or those
educators wishing study for an advanced degree for professional improvement.
Program emphasis is on curricular planning, methods, development of teacher
competencies, multicultural issues and educational technology.

Description:
The Elementary Education Program offers concurrent elementary education
certification and Master of Arts degrees to those primarily interested in the
classroom education of children in grades one through six. Attention is given to
curriculum planning, methods of instruction, multicultural issues in education,
development of teacher competencies and incorporation of technology into
teaching.

Description:
The Educational Technology Department offers programs in School Media Specialist
Certification; Instructional Development; Television Production; Computers in
Education and Free-Track. Students utilize state-of-the-art equipment including
multimedia computer laboratories, color television studios, video
postproduction, digital still picture cameras, portable video cameras and
recorders and a host of media equipment.

The School Counseling Program prepares student to work as counselors in
elementary, middle and secondary schools. The program is CACREP-accredited as
well as an approved planned program leading to state certification as a School
Counselor. The Counselor Education Department has nationally know faculty.
