The Master of Science in Biology program offers graduate students a high quality
degree program in biological sciences that meets national standards of
excellence. Program faculty are committed to quality teaching and the discovery
of new knowledge. The Master of Science - Biology program supports the
University's mission of providing advanced professional education.
Admission Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with at least a 2.50
cumulative grade point ratio.
At least 24 semester hours in biology and a general program, including related
scientific subjects, that would be equivalent to the biology major program
offered for the Bachelor of Science degree at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Students who are deficient in some subject, but whose records are otherwise
superior, may make up their deficiencies while they are enrolled in the graduate
program.
Submission of an official score report for the Graduate Record Examination (GRE)
General Test taken within the last five years. (The GRE requirement is waived
for applicants who have completed a master's degree.)
Three letters of recommendation.
Applicants who have not completed all requirements for admission to the
degree program may be permitted to enroll in classes for credit on a
nonmatriculated or nondegree basis.

The Master of Science in Chemistry provides training for those who wish to
advance their careers in research, industry, government service or teaching. In
addition to advancing students toward a doctoral program, the program also

Description:
The Master of Arts in Fine Arts MFA in creative writing is a low-residency
program in which students work closely with published authors who serve as
mentors and readers through distance learning. Students meet in-person with
faculty, visiting writers and other students during two residencies held each
year. This global program allows students to receive guidance from the
international perspective of writers and poets throughout the world. The M.F.A.
degree is offered in three disciplines - poetry, fiction, and creative
nonfiction.

Description:
The program prepares its graduates to have a significant impact on the mental
health field as counselors, program directors, researchers, grant writers and
policy makers on the local, state and national levels. With those goals in mind,
the curriculum focuses on a broad spectrum of issues including:
- the antecedent conditions that predispose people to psychological disorders,
- the nature and treatment of those disorders, crisis intervention strategies
and
- the influence of various family and group dynamics, gender differences,
cultural diversity, social problems and age on the emergence of various
symptoms.

Therapy Examiners Board in the State of New Jersey and the Council for
Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs as well as the

The graduate program in industrial/organizational psychology is designed to
provide a comprehensive, research-oriented background in applied psychology that
will enable participants to continue education at the doctoral level or work in
certain organizational positions. The Master of Arts in
industrial/organizational psychology is considered a research-oriented degree.
Although many students in the industrial/organizational program do not go on for
advanced degrees, the orientation and experience in independent research (as
reflected in the optional thesis) enable them to function more independently as
professionals in organizational settings, as well as compete more successfully
for doctoral programs.

Description:
The Master of Arts in organizational behavior is targeted toward students who
have attained, or who aspire to leadership positions in the future. The
curriculum is designed to develop personal leadership competencies and to apply
them in a variety of organizational contexts. Students work with skilled
instructors and personal mentors to strengthen and apply their experience and
knowledge.
All classes are held on alternate Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Intensive
year-round scheduling makes it possible to complete the entire 42-credit program
within 30 months. Most classes include a 'mentoring' component, where each
student works one-on-one with an experienced business or professional faculty
mentor and coach to enhance their personal skills.
Students unable to commit to the full program may opt for an 18-credit
certificate program, completed in one year's time.
Admission Requirements:
An earned bachelor's degree with a minimum 3.00 average in the major.
A personal statement of interest and relevance of the program to the applicant.
Submission of a relevant work project to demonstrate ability to work with
complex concepts and fluid self-expression.
An interview with a minimum of two faculty members.
Three letters of reference.
