Fairmont State University (FSU) has developed a Graduate Emphasis in Multi-Categorical Special Education. The purpose of this emphasis is to permit teachers, with an existing certification, to acquire an additional certification.

Fairmont State University (FSU) has developed a Graduate Emphasis in Multi-Categorical-Special Education Only. The purpose of this emphasis is to permit candidates who have no existing teaching license to acquire the Multi-Categorical Special Education Only license.

The Leadership Studies program is offered in a cooperative manner with Marshall University. Students completing the program qualify for professional administrative certification as a PreK-Adult school principal in West Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky.

The Professional Studies option is designed for those who currently hold an undergraduate four year teaching or non-teaching degree.

Fairmont State University (FSU) has developed a graduate emphasis in Online Learning for our existing Master's Degree in Education that may also be offered as a stand-alone certificate program.

Description:
The Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) degree program is an alternative and accelerated means for college graduates with degrees in liberal arts, fine arts, business and professional fields to attain teacher licensure. The program provides the professional education courses and clinical experiences, including student teaching, necessary to prepare individuals for teaching in a specific content area in grades PreK-Adult, 5-Adult, or 9-Adult.

Description:
The Master of Science in Criminal Justice program focuses on the criminal justice system, its organizational components and processes and its legal and public policy contexts. The program includes instruction in criminal law and policy, police and correctional systems organization, the administration of justice and the judiciary, and public attitudes regarding a wide range of criminal justice issues. The program will provide students with advanced theoretical, legal, and methodological training for research, teaching, management and administrative careers in local, state, and federal agencies.
