Art Market: Principles and Practices provides the advanced skills and knowledge
required not only in commercial art galleries and auction houses, but also in
corporate collection and public art program administration. Explorations in art
history and contemporary critical theory are supplemented by courses in
business, marketing, collections management, exhibit design, and art law.

Description:
Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), a college of the State University of New
York, offers the only graduate curriculum in the United States based on the
cosmetics and fragrance industries. The two-year program, leading to the Master
of Professional Studies (M.P.S.), is offered two evenings per week during the
semester and during special intensive sessions for three weeks each January.
There is a summer course in Paris between the first and second year of the
program. The program culminates in a capstone seminar at the end of the fourth
semester.

Description:
The Fashion and Textile studies program prepares students to work with historic
textiles and costume. Students have the option of pursuing either a curatorial
or conservation emphasis. Regardless of emphasis, students take courses across a
wide range of subjects, including connoisseurship and historical research,
technical analysis, collections management, exhibition practice, and
conservation and handling issues.
Accreditation Description:
We are a college in the S.U.N.Y. system, accredited by the Commission on Higher
Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, and the
National Association of Schools of Art and Design.
