Florida Atlantic University presents a program leading to the degree of Master
of Public Administration (MPA) which is accredited by the National Association
of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration. The objective of this program
is to provide a quality master's degree which will (a) provide the appropriate
training and background for those planning to enter careers in government

Description:
The Master of Urban and Regional Planning (MURP) degree program is designed to
educate future planners capable of performing and improving the practice of
comprehensive and current planning. The research, teaching, and service
activities of the Department are guided by the values associated with growth
management in a democratic society; the growing importance of high technology in
providing assistance to decision makers; and the professional curriculum
considerations articulated by the Planning Accreditation Board (PAB). The MURP
is a 48-credit-hour program structured to be completed on either a full-time or
part-time basis.

Small individualized program. Applicants must have an MBA from an AACSB
accredited university. The Ph.D. Program in Business administration at Florida
Atlantic University's College of Business prepares candidates for research and
teaching careers at universities and for careers within firms or government
agencies requiring advanced research and analytical capabilities. The specific
objectives of the Ph.D. program are to: (1) provide the student with in-depth
knowledge of fundamental theory and contemporary research issues in an area of
concentration and supporting disciplines;(2) develop the student’s skills in
using research tools (such as statistical methods, econometrics, experimental
design, computer software), and the ability to apply these tools with an
understanding of the underlying assumptions and the limitation on their use;(3)
