Description:
The Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) at Friends University is an 18-month, 30
credit hour degree program. It is designed to provide elementary and secondary
teachers with an interdisciplinary, field-based study of teaching and the
learning process. The focus is on the practical application of learning-teaching
skills in the classroom where theory and practice converge. The student, in
cooperation with a faculty advisor, designs an individualized plan for an action
research study.
