Both of our programs have a focus on personal and spiritual growth with a commitment to Scripture as the foundation of truth as we consider complementary psychological truths. Students completing our 62-hour MA in Counseling Degree are prepared and qualified to begin the process of acquiring their LMHC (License in Mental Health Counseling) or to pursue doctoral studies in counseling.The M.A. in Interpersonal Relations Degree is a 37-hour non-licensed degree designed for pastors, human resource directors, teachers, coaches, nurses, law enforcement officers, managers, student affairs personnel in college and university settings, lay people, and others who require counseling skills in their work settings

 

Accreditation Description:
The Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP), which is a specialized accrediting body, recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), has granted accreditation to the M.A. in Counseling Department at Grace College for the M.A. in Counseling degree in Mental Health Counseling.

Grace Theological Seminary is a doctrinally conservative evangelical seminary located in Northern Indiana. We are dedicated to offering a theological education where students know their professors and will graduate knowing the Bible and how to interpret and teach it.

Description:

  • Master of Arts in Theological Studies
    A 60-hour program containing the core of biblical and theological studies offered in the Master of Divinity program. It is designed for those students already having had extensive pastoral training or experience, or those students seeking graduate theological training for non-pastoral ministries.
  • Master of Missions
    A 30 hour program. The classes are offered in the summers to allow missionaries to complete the program on an extended furlough.
  • Master of Arts in Specialized Ministries
    A program consisting of 60 -61 hours. The curriculum is designed to assist those planning to enter a local church ministry not leading to a pastoral role with major preaching and administrative responsibility.
  • Master of Divinity
    The Master of Divinity program provides the basic curriculum in graduate theological study for a ministry of the Word in a pastoral, counseling or missions setting. It is a three-year program requiring 92 semester hours of credit.
  • Doctor of Ministry
    Designed to bring further professional development to Christian leaders and pastors who have at least four years of vocational ministry experience after earning a Master of Divinity degree from an approved seminary. The program is designed to enable pastors and other ministry professionals to complete it without leaving their current ministries.
