Description:
A Master of Arts in Educational Leadership will provide students with advanced knowledge and skills in managing and leading the modern school with an emphasis on developing urban leadership skills. This program focuses on the principal as the instructional leader and the chief architect of change in the school. In addition to a thorough grounding in the fundamental principles of administrative and management theory and capacity building, students will be introduced to the concept of the principal as change agent. Emphasis will be placed on acquiring organizational development, assessment, change skills and identifying and working with the issues facing the urban school administrator.

Description:
The M.Ed. in Educational Technology comprises graduate study in practice-oriented courses covering all aspects of integrating technology into the classroom. Students will develop knowledge and skills to effectively integrate instructional technologies into teaching and learning by using the computer to enhance teaching, apply emerging technologies to the creation of educational media, participate in decision making about adoption of educational technology applications, make presentations to various audiences using appropriate technologies, and train and coach others in the application of technology.

Description:
The Master of Arts degree and graduate certificate programs in Human Resource Management help practicing HRM specialists or other organization staff members moving into HRM to advance their knowledge and skills in the field. The Modern Language Translation Certificate is a one-year program designed for professionals who plan to pursue a career in translation and train for the American Translators Association (ATA) certification. Description:
The Reading and Literacy Education programs challenge educators to extend and enhance their knowledge and skills for literacy instruction by enabling them to become more reflective of their practice in ways that will help all students to learn. These attributes support a constructivist view of reading and literacy skill development with a diagnostic approach to instruction. Social justice education is important. The Master’s Program in Social Justice flows from the mission of Marygrove College. The program is ideal for those interested in learning and promoting social justice/change. It provides for analysis and reflection in the ways of thinking, the values, assumptions, and the actions that maintain the economic, political, and cultural structures that shape our lives. It also seeks to build competencies and skills to transform these structures toward a more just society. In addition, this program seeks to create an internal culture of justice among the candidates.
