This program has 40 faculty and laboratories engaged in four main
concentrations of modern biomedical research: biomedical imaging, organ
physiology, molecular biophysics, and biomechanics. Strong areas of emphasis
include image processing and visualization, magnetic resonance imaging,
ultrasound imaging, X-ray CT, nuclear imaging, confocal and atomic force
microscopy, ion channels, functional genomics, cardiovascular physiology,
respiratory physiology, renal physiology, gastrointestinal physiology, fluid
mechanics, biomechanical stress analysis, biomaterials and tissue
engineering.

The Mayo Tumor Biology Training Program is a multidisciplinary pre doctoral
training program in the biology of cancer. Students participate in
