Description:
The purpose of this program is to enable highly qualified students who are
strongly motivated toward an academic/research career in pharmaceutical
sciences to obtain both the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) and the Doctor of
Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees in a shortened period of time. All applicants
must have a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree. Applicants must
meet admission requirements for the Ph.D. program as well as for the
Pharm.D. program. Interested students should inquire about joint
Pharm.D./Ph.D. status when applying for admission to the Doctor of Pharmacy
program.

Description:
The mission of Mercer University's Physician Assistant Program is to educate
patient-centered medical providers of the highest quality who are leaders,
life-long learners, possess an appreciation of ethical values and human
diversity, and are provided a foundation to practice in every discipline of
medicine. The Physician Assistant Program emphasizes evidence-based
medicine, informatics, critical decision making, interdisciplinary teamwork,
and continuous quality improvement.

Description:
Each year, 145 students begin their careers in pharmacy here. The average
age of our entering class is 24. The percentage of students who are women
has increased in recent years to ~70 percent. The minority enrollment is
typically between 20 and 30 percent, and international student enrollment
between 5 and 10 percent. Over 90% of the student body is drawn from outside
the metropolitan Atlanta area; Georgia residents comprise approximately half
of students enrolled. Mercer attracts students from all over the U.S. and
world. This diversity is another indication of excellence, reputation, and
of honored tradition at Mercer University.

The Pharm.D. program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy
Education (ACPE). Mercer University is accredited by the Southern
Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).

M.Div. students are required to take a core curriculum of 70 hours which may
be completed on a full-time or part-time basis. A remaining 20 hours may be
chosen from a variety of electives providing a broad background for ministry
to prepare further for a specific vocational field.
