Description:
The faculty in the Brain & Cognitive Science (BCS) area of the Psychology
department seek to understand the mental processes and structures that are
involved in perceiving, learning, understanding, and acting in ones
environment. The mental phenomena that we study include basic visual
processes, categorization, decision making, spatial cognition, cognitive and
motor skills, and perception-action links. We use a variety of methods,
ranging from behavioral measurements (e.g., reaction time experiments) to
mathematical modeling, to neurophysiological measurements (i.e. single-cell
recording).

complete our Master's degree program go on to Ph.D. programs in the study of

Description:
The Department of Art offers an advanced degree emphasizing studio
performance. The MFA program prepares practicing artists for careers in
painting, printmaking, sculpture, metals, and ceramics. This program
requires a minimum of two years of full-time graduate study and conforms
with the recommendations of the College Art Association for the preparation
of college-level studio faculty. In addition to fulfilling the required
number of hours, the students must successfully pass periodic reviews by
members of the Department of Art faculty. Also, the student's major
professor must attest to the candidate's competence in the area of
specialization.
