In addition to receiving an in-depth understanding of the U.S. legal system,
students in the program may focus their work in one of three areas:
International and Comparative Law, Public Law or Business and Commercial
Law. The degree may be completed in 12 months of study at the law college,
located on the campus of Michigan State University in beautiful East
Lansing, Michigan.

MSU LawĘs Intellectual Property & Communications Law Program is nationally
ranked as a top 20 program. The LL.M./M.J. in Intellectual Property &
Communications Law provide the advanced knowledge and skills necessary to
keep pace with this ever-changing and growing field of law. The LL.M. is
available to students with a J.D., LL.B. or comparable law degree. The
Master of Jurisprudence (M.J.) is for individuals who do not have a law
degree but would benefit from advanced knowledge in this area of the law.
Students may select to study the general category of Intellectual Property
Law or choose from the following specialized tracks: Communications Law,
Copyright/Trademark Law, Entertainment and Sports Law, International
Intellectual Property Law, Patent Law.
