Description:
Choosing a career as a doctor of chiropractic is an important decision. Choosing which college to attend is even more critical. National University of Health Sciences adheres to the same basic principles of chiropractic as other schools but we go much further. Our students are not just trained as "back doctors" but as first-contact primary care physicians who emphasize more natural, non-invasive methods of healing whenever possible. Because of this primary care responsibility, our science-based curriculum strongly emphasizes patient examination and diagnosis along with manipulation of the spine and the extremities. To teach these skills, we have adapted an innovative problem-based learning format as a stronger and more clinically relevant academic experience than traditional methods. National also emphasizes interpersonal skills with an in-depth practice management program, so by the time you graduate you will have acquired the necessary clinical and business skills to begin your practice as a successful chiropractic physician.
