With a Doctor of Audiology (Au.D) from Northeastern University, you will
influence society in profound ways - assisting in the early identification
of hearing loss and auditory disorders, providing services to help conserve
hearing, and helping individuals with hearing loss to better
communicate.Northeastern University has offered a graduate program in
Audiology since 1965. Our Doctor of Audiology program prepares audiolgists

Pharmaceutical science is a problem-solving discipline concerned with the
discovery, design, and use of drugs. Pharmaceutical scientists find new
targets for drug development, research how drugs work at a molecular level
and the harmful effects of drugs, and determine how drugs' properties,
dosages, and delivery systems affect their performance. By choosing

Description:
Our academic programs and on-campus Speech, Language and Hearing Center are
fully accredited by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
(ASHA).Graduates accumulate the basic science, clinical course work and
clinical experiences necessary for national certification (ASHA Certificate
of Clinical Competence, CCC).Academic and clinical training provides the
skills necessary to assess and treat communicatively impaired individuals
spanning the age range from infancy through geriatrics. Intensive clinical
practicums provide hands-on experience with a variety of populations,
including high-risk infants, children having developmental Speech-Language
disorders, and adults who have acquired language, cognitive-linguistic
disorders, and swallowing disorders. Other populations served include
individuals with congenital or acquired hearing loss, voice disorders,
fluency problems, individuals who speak English as a second language, and
individuals with multiple handicaps who need augmentative or alternative
forms of communication.

Description:
The Graduate Certificate in Cinema Studies in unique in the Boston area in
that it emphasizes film theory and criticism. It is intended as a complement
to existing M.A. and Ph.D. programs in the College of Arts and Sciences.
Students take four electives from the list in addition to the required
introductory course in Film Studies (ENG 3612/HST 3290). Hands-on production
experience is offered in two of the electives: HST 3625 and JRN 3424.
Students pursuing the Graduate Certificate in Cinema Studies can profit from
Northeastern's placement in Boston, with its many film festivals, art house
venues for film exhibition, and active filmmaking scene.
