Description:
Rensselaer's Lally School of Management and Technology is comprised of two
departments: one in Hartford and one in Troy. The mission of the Lally School is
to develop sophisticated business leaders who are prepared to guide their
organizations in the integration of technology for new products, new businesses,
and new systems. The vision of the Lally School is to be pre-eminent among
educational institutions in integrating management and technology for innovation
and value creation in the global marketplace. In addition to the traditional
M.B.A. and M.S. program schedules, the Lally School offers three cohort-based
signature programs including: the Executive Master's Program, the Weekend

Information Technology. Computer Science/Information Technology is the fastest
growing field in the global job market today. Professionals with information
technology proficiencies are in high demand. The Department of Engineering and
Science is committed to a nationally-recognized applications-based computer
science program that prepares professionals for the job market in computer
fields. According to U.S. News and World Report, Rensselaer's Graduate School of

Description:
These graduate certificates address timely topics in engineering. These programs
each consist of three, three-credit-hour courses, which may later be applied
toward a Rensselaer master's degree. Prospective students must be formally
admitted to Rensselaer in order to pursue these programs. The High Temperature
Materials Certificate Program is designed to bring students up-to-date on the
characteristics and technology of high temperature alloy materials useful in
propulsion and power generation applications. The Quality and Reliability
Engineering Certificate Program is designed to develop skills in the application
of quality engineering principles to enhance the performance of industrial and
business systems. The purpose of quality engineering is to measure and improve
process control to increase the reliability of products and services. The
Systems Modeling and Analysis Certificate Program is designed to provide skills
in the development and interpretation of simulation models of real-world
systems. Discrete event models of industrial engineering and management science
systems are emphasized.
