The Department of Agricultural, Food & Resource Economics at Rutgers University
offers a M.S. program in Food & Business Economics. This graduate program has
been designed as an issue-oriented and problem-solving program with high level
of quantitative and analytical skills focusing on the following sectors: food
and agriculture, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, and financial industries
that support these above sectors. An exceptional feature of this graduate
program is that students can take courses outside the department, such as at
Rutgers University Business School and Princeton University, as well as get
credit for practical internship. Most of our graduates go on to work as
professionals in the financial and pharmaceutical sectors as highly sought
research analysts while others pursue their doctoral programs in prestigious

The newly consolidated graduate programs in molecular biosciences at Rutgers,
The State University of New Jersey, and the University of Medicine and Dentistry
of New Jersey - Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences (located at the Robert
Wood Johnson Medical School) consist of seven doctoral programs in biochemistry
and molecular biology, cell and developmental biology, cellular and molecular

The Public Policy program offers a two-year Master of Public Policy degree with
specialization's in science and technology, education, environment, economics,
health, political process, or employment policy. The program is designed to help
students develop or refine their competence in analytic and quantitative skills
and develop a thorough understanding of the political institutions and processes
through which public policies are formulated and implemented. In addition, we
offer a professional one-year full-time program in politics and public policy,

Description:
The School offers a six-year academic program leading to the Doctor of Pharmacy
degree. Combining course work with clinical clerkships, the goal of the program
is to educate health care professionals who can practice pharmacy in community,
hospital, academic, managed care, and industrial pharmaceutical settings.
Transfer students are welcome and should have a strong science background, as
well as one semester each of calculus, statistics, and physiology. Transfer
students are admitted into either the second or third year of the curriculum.
