Description:
The Master's Program is an interdisciplinary, collaborative graduate program
between the college of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences at Savannah State
University and the College of Arts and Sciences at Armstrong Atlantic State
University. The objectives of the program are to: train students to apply
analytical skills developed in urban studies to both the public and private
sectors; enhance the development of analytical and research skills and the
utilization of the intellectual resources necessary for the generation of new
knowledge of urban areas in Georgia and worldwide; and add to the general
public's awareness of the problems and strengths of Georgia's urban areas
through community activity.

Description:
The MPA Program at Savannah State University is designed to enhance student
competencies in three areas: management of public service organizations,
application of quantitative and qualitative techniques of analysis, and
understanding of public policy and organizational environment. The MPA program
prepares students to work effectively as managers and leaders in a variety of
organizational settings.

Description:
The Master of Social Work (MSW) Program holds accreditation under the Council on
Social Work Education. The MSW program is designed to prepare social work
practitioners to effectively work in public, private, governmental, educational,
industrial, and business arenas. The two-year (60 credit hours) degree program
consists of a foundation curriculum, which provides the knowledge values and
skills common to social work practice. It also includes a set of concentration
courses in either clinical or administration practice.
