The School of the Art Institute's Master of Design in Body, Fashion and Garment seeks to provide a creative and intellectual context in which the nature and potentiality of fashion is closely examined and re-imagined. Description:
The new Master of Design program has been developed for graduate students with strong undergraduate backgrounds who wish to explore a new field, but lack the specific studio skills and theoretical background for their new career choice. Borrowing critically from product design, systems design, furniture design, and interactive design, the course-based Master of Design in Designed Objects program immerses students in the most critical discourses surrounding contemporary object design (scenario planning, user interfaces, experience design, and strategic planning) while grounding them in the materials world, with a focus on designing and making.
