The Department of Biology offers three graduate programs: a Ph.D. in Molecular
Bioscience, a Master of Science (M.S.) in Biology (available with a Neuroscience
track or a minor in Business Administration), and a Master of Science in
Microbiology. The M.S. programs prepare students for basic research and teaching
applicable in careers in academic institutions and in the biotechnology
industry, and they provide a solid foundation for subsequent Ph.D. programs. The
Ph.D. program emphasizes the application of molecular and cellular biotechnology
in studies of living systems. Evening and weekend classes are available. Both
full-time and part-time students are eligible to enroll in these programs.

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Seton Hall University is the
intellectual home to 14 faculty, over 80 undergraduate and 140 graduate
students. Our location in the heart of the Tri-state area affords unique
opportunities for interaction with the many local chemical-related industries.
We offer undergraduate majors in Chemistry (ACS and non-ACS Certified) and
Biochemistry, and we offer graduate studies and research in Analytical,
Inorganic, Organic, Physical and Biochemistry, with an emphasis on
interdisciplinary collaboration. Our relatively small size and attractive

The Master of Arts in Corporate and Public Communication (MACPC) offers students
academically challenging courses that provide insight and practical strategies
to help them succeed in the rapidly changing world of corporate communication.
The program uniquely develops the critical skills of communication and
leadership in ways that can be immediately applied in practice. The MACPC
faculty are experienced practitioners who bring extensive and diverse leadership
experience to the classroom. Students are challenged to think creatively, apply
state-of-the-art technology and sharpen their leadership skills in a dynamic,
small-classroom environment. Courses are offered on a flexible evening and
weekend class schedule.

Description:
A Master of Arts degree in English from Seton Hall provides the basis for a wide
range of career and professional choices: preparation for pursuing a doctoral
degree in literature, for professional degrees in law or business, as well as
for careers in secondary education, publishing, and professional writing. The
diversity of our students goals and interests is accommodated through our Hub
and Spoke Program, which allows students, after completing a "Hub" of 12 credits
of required courses, to pursue one of two "Spokes",18 credits in Literature for
pre-doctoral students or 18 credits in Writing for pre-professional students.
Both spokes accommodate students who wish to teach on the college or secondary
level.

The Department of Psychology offers the Masters of Science in Experimental
Psychology, with concentrations in general psychology and behavioral
neuroscience. (also available with a Behavioral Neuroscience concentration). The
program is designed to train students in the scientific methods of psychology in
preparation for involvement in basic research and teaching, and sometimes for
work in applied settings (e.g. clinical psychology or industrial/organizational
psychology). The M.S. degree program is designed specifically for students
seeking to gain a solid foundation in empirical research for eventual entry into
Ph.D. programs in scientific psychology or for students desiring to explore the
field. Students completing this program will be in a better position to apply
for doctoral degrees in scientist/practitioner programs in clinical or
counseling psychology, as well as doctoral programs in experimental psychology
and neuroscience. Graduates may also go on to related areas of employment such
as laboratory assistants, market researchers, science writers and community
college teaching.

primary, middle, and secondary school teachers interested in an advanced degree
in their field, as well as librarians and other professionals desiring a second
advanced degree. It also provides a solid basis for those interested in

addition to broad-spectrum courses in museum history and theory, museum

The Graduate Department of Jewish Christian Studies awards the Master of Arts
degree (36 credits) and graduate certificate (12 credits) in Jewish-Christian
Studies. The curriculum covers all aspects of the relationship between Jews and
Christians - their respective values and traditions. Studies build critical
academic bases for understanding Christians and Jews historically and
phenomenologically. A Jewish-Christian critical awareness will equip graduates

Description:
Seton Hall's Graduate Department of Public and Healthcare Administration offers
both the MPA and MHA degree, both 39 credits in length, with courses offered in
the evenings, weekends, and online. Students can concentrate in one of four
tracks within the MPA: non-profit management; governance and leadership; arts
administration, and healthcare administration. The MHA is similar to the MPA
healthcare administration track, albeit with more required finance and
management courses, and fewer non-healthcare electives. Average class size is
11-14 students, with 80 percent of classes taught by full-time faculty. The MPA
is fully accredited by NASPAA, and has been ranked among the top ten programs in
the country in non-profit administration for the past several years.
