Description:
The Master of Fine Arts (MFA) program in arts administration seeks to provide a
practical interdisciplinary education that develops well-rounded generalists,
employable in any of the arts disciplines as professional arts administrators.
The educational objective of the MFA program is to develop graduates who can
balance administrative structure with artistic process in an effort to ensure
artistic integrity and fiscal responsibility of arts organizations.

Description:
The MPA is considered a terminal degree frequently sought by professionals
entering or pursuing a career in the public or nonprofit sectors. SUU will
require students to complete 36 graduate credit hours while maintaining a
minimum 3.2 GPA to earn the degree. Students can complete the degree by
enrolling full-time for two years. Graduate hours are divided between required
core courses (18 hours) and emphasis courses (15 hours). Students must complete
a major research project (MRP) and an internship. The MRP can be completed
during the capstone or other courses and the internship may be waived if the
student has been employed in public sector for more than 12 months. Initially
courses will be offered on the SUU campus only. Beginning in the second year at
least one course per semester will be offered online. The Department of
Political Science and Criminal Justice anticipates that within five years most,
if not all, of the MPA courses will be offered on campus and online.

The Master of Accountancy degree is a professionally oriented study which
emphasizes practical problem solving and features a close relationship with
experienced faculty members. The School of Business has offered a Masters of
Accountancy (MAcc) degree for over 18 years. The MAcc was established to satisfy
Utah’s requirement of 150 hours to take the Certified Public Accounting exam.
The MAcc degree is designed to satisfy the 150-hour requirement with 30 hours of
post-graduate education.
