The Department of Biological and Earth Sciences offers graduate training and
coursework for public school teachers who wish to improve their knowledge
and skills, for students preparing to enter doctoral programs, for students
who seek additional training and coursework prior to applying to
professional schools, and for those who plan to seek employment with private
industry or with a wide variety of state or federal agencies. Graduate
courses offered in biology, geography, geology, oceanography, meteorology
and science education are offered within the department.
