The MBA in Strategic Management interrelates and provides a broad exposure
to skills necessary in managing a total organization. Strategic Management
involves establishing the major direction, strategies, and broad policies
that an organization will follow in pursuit of accomplishing its objectives.
This necessary knowledge is important for sustainable growth of businesses
and the U.S. economy. Strategic Management is associated with the following
career opportunities: consulting jobs; managerial level positions involving
administration and organization, as well as managerial positions in more
specific areas such as public relations or planning; and facilitation of
vertical career promotion (from existing job to a managerial level position
in the same job) and horizontal career promotion (from an existing
job/function to another position at a managerial level).

Description:
The Master of Education degree with a major in Applied Technology, Training,
and Development is a 36 semester hour program designed for people who are
seeking careers in the education field. Like the masters of science, this
program requires coursework in advanced computer technology, basic
instructional strategies, history and principles of applied technology,
cooperative education, research, diversity, and curriculum theory. The
Master of Education has a six (6) hour minor field outside the major. This
is the recommended degree for those seeking certification in Trade and
Industry Education, Office Education, Marketing Education, Career
Investigation, and Vocational Administration.
