Description:
Master's programs in Exercise Science and Health Promotion offer course work
and research experience to prepare students for advanced graduate study in
related areas or to prepare students with advanced competencies for practice
in the areas of Health Promotion/Exercise Physiology.
The Ph.D. degree is awarded for excellence in research scholarship and
signifies the attainment of independently acquired and comprehensive
learning in one of these disciplines. The mission of the Ph.D. programs in
Exercise Physiology and Health Promotion is to train individuals for careers
as scholars, educators, and researchers in these disciplines.

Description:
The Department of Physical Therapy offers a 3 + 3 Master of Physical
Therapyprogram. Students apply to the professional phase of the program (at
the Health SciencesCenter) while completing 90 hours of general education,
inclusive of the prerequisites describedin this document. Upon satisfactory
completion of all requirements, the student is awarded adegree of Master of
Physical Therapy (M.P.T.). The graduate is then eligible to take the
NationalPhysical Therapy Examination conducted under the direction of the
Federation of State Boards ofPhysical Therapy.
