Description:
Mundelein Seminary is the major theological seminary of the Archdiocese of
Chicago. It also has anational outreach. Mundelein's primary purpose is to
prepare candidates to be priests of Jesus Christ,teacher, priest, and
shepherd. It educates men for parish ministry as diocesan priests through an
integratedprogram of intellectual, human, spiritual and pastoral formation.
It aims to form true pastors-- men offaith and prayer, commitment and
maturity, theological competence and professional skill. They share
aspriests in the ministry of the bishop in the service of the Church for the
salvation of the world.
