Description:
The program in Comparative Literature is designed to enable graduate
students to develop competence in the study of two or more literatures and
literary theory. The program is staffed by an interdepartmental group of
graduate professors from English, foreign languages, philosophy, and film.
Areas of specialization include history and theories of literature,
renaissance, women's studies, gender post-colonialism, and area studies.

Description:
The master's degree programs in school counseling are accredited by the
Council for the Accreditation ofCounseling and Other Related Educational
Programs. The typical master's degree program in counseloreducation is
designed to provide at least a minimum training for persons in the school
counseling profession. Each program contains basic counseling and
specialized courses suited to the needs of persons working in such settings
as elementary or secondary schools, rehabilitative agencies or
post-secondary education. Counselor preparation for other settings will be
planned by the student and the advisor.
