Description:
The Master of Arts in Communication Management degree prepares graduates for careers in media (broadcasting, motion pictures, publishing, etc.), telecommunications, public policy including health communication, advertising, corporate communications and other fields. Management positions include work in marketing, sales, new product development, and research and strategic planning. Telecommunications professionals are responsible for the voice and data networks necessary for organizational survival. The USC Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering (Medical Imaging & Imaging Informatics) is a unique degree that prepares students for further graduate training or professional careers in biomedical imaging, image processing and medical imaging informatics, including Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS). Description:
The program in American Studies and Ethnicity integrates humanistic and social scientific perspectives and brings them to bear on an examination of the United States with a particular emphasis on comparative study of the peoples, cultures, history and social issues of the Western United States.

The program offers four separate majors and minors in American Studies, African American Studies, Asian American Studies, and Chicano/Latino Studies and a minor in Jewish American Studies. Description:
This 12-unit (three-course) graduate program leads to a Graduate Certificate in Geographic Information Science. The program is offered by the Geography Department of the College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences at the University of Southern California (USC).

Three of our GIS courses are offered in a 'distance learning' format. The fourth, GEOG-587, has a one-week field work requirement. Students work from a Course Guide binder mailed to them or downloaded via the Internet. Faculty and students communicate primarily by e-mail. All materials and communication are in English. Students receive highly personalized instruction to supplement their readings, self-studies, e-chats, group exercises, Internet-based software training, and other assignments.
