Description:
Arizona's three state universities, Arizona State University, Northern
Arizona University, and University of Arizona have designed The Master of
Engineering degree to meet the educational needs of working professionals by
offering courses via distance delivery. Courses are offered by a variety of
distance technologies and flexible formats for the convenience of working
students. The 30 credit hour program is flexible enough to enable either
traditional or non-traditional advanced technical studies. Since the program
is collaborative, students can take courses offered by any of the three
partner institutions, thereby taking advantage of the breadth of expertise

As part of the MS and PhD tracks, our students conduct research consisting
of the application of molecular, genetic, and biochemical approaches to
problems such as:
-The study of bacterial pathogenesis, including virulence mechanisms and
interaction of bacteria with the host
-Viral protein structure and assembly
-The ecology and pathogenesis of viral diseases
-The pathogenesis of host cell recognition, attachment, and invasion by
protozoan parasites
-Novel diagnostic methods for diseases of animal importance.

Description:
Interdisciplinary planning program prepares students to solve land use and
transportation problems in contemporary society. The 2 year M.S. program
exposes students to core courses in planning history, theory, and synthesis
techniques through interdisciplinary coursework in preparation for the
profession of planning. Areas of concentration include Community Design,
Land Use and Transportation Planning and International/Borderlands Planning.

Description:
The department offers three programs: Master of Arts in Educational
Psychology with concentrations in Educational Psychology or Physical
Education; Master of Education in School Counseling and Guidance, and Doctor
of Philosophy with a major in Educational Psychology. Concentrations at the
doctoral level include Measurement and Research Methodology, and Teaching,
Learning, and Development. Student programs in each area are individualized
with a wide range of courses, internships, and research offerings. An effort
is made by the Department to recruit and select for admission students who
represent a diversity of ethnic, cultural, and linguistic groups and
national origins for our master's and doctoral degree programs.
