Description:
The clinical studies program is innovative in that it provides training in both
clinical psychology and one specialty area outside of clinical. The basic
rationale is that both clinical and academic activities profit from the
integration of theory, research, and practice from more than one area of
psychology. Therefore, each student in the clinical studies program also can
elect to specialize in another area of psychology, such as behavioral
neuroscience, human and animal cognition, or community, developmental and
social-personality psychology.
