The M. A. in Liberal Studies is designed for mature students with a bachelor's
degree in any field who wish to pursue graduate studies in the liberal arts
mainly for the intellectual satisfaction in doing so. The program explores
questions basic to human values and society through interdisciplinary courses

Description:
The Master of Science in Clinical Health Psychology is a graduate degree offered
by the Behavioral Sciences Department in the College of Arts Sciences, and
Letters (CASL) at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. This two-year, 46-credit
program trains mental health care providers to work in primary care settings, as
well as more traditional clinical psychology settings. The curriculum of the
program, in conjunction with 1 year of supervised postgraduate experience in an
organized health care setting, is designed to fulfill the course requirements
for the Michigan Limited License in Psychology. The 46-credit program consists
of ten required courses (31 credits) in core areas of Clinical Health
Psychology. Six credit hours will be devoted to practicum in a community
setting. Students will take either three elective courses or one elective course
and complete a master's thesis under the supervision of program faculty. The MS
program is designed for the full or part-time student who has an undergraduate
degree and wishes to obtain a degree in the Behavioral Sciences leading to the
Michigan Limited License in Psychology. Graduates of the program are prepared to
provide evaluation, counseling and therapy services to clients in a variety of
clinical settings with an emphasis on using psychological interventions in the
treatment of medical problems.

Description:
The Master of Science in Health Psychology is a graduate degree offered by the
Behavioral Sciences Department in the College of Arts, Sciences, and Letters
(CASL) at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. This two-year, 37-credit program
provides students with intensive training in one or more content areas within
Health Psychology and is intended for several populations: 1) students who would
like to continue graduate training in a research-related field, 2) medical
professionals who may wish to continue their education on a part- or full-time
basis, and 3) individuals who require an advanced degree to advance in their
careers. This program is not intended to fulfill the course requirements for the
Michigan Limited License in Psychology The 37-credit program consists of five
required courses (13 credits) in core areas of Health Psychology. Three credit
hours will be devoted to practicum in a community setting. Students will
complete either a 3 credit Project or a 6 credit Thesis under the supervision of
program faculty. The remaining 15-18 credits will be composed of elective course
that focus on one or more content areas. The MS program is designed for the full
or part-time student who has an undergraduate degree and wishes to obtain a
degree in the Behavioral Sciences that does not lead to limited licensure in
Michigan. The Master of Science in Health Psychology program will focus on
theory and research in Health Psychology and will allow students to focus more
rigorously on one or more specific content areas through their elective courses
(e.g., Health Psychology Across the Lifespan, Health Policy Studies).

The Master of Business Administration degree program, which was established in
the fall of 1981, is presented by the faculty of the School of Management at the
University of Michigan-Dearborn. The MBA Program is designed as a cross over
vehicle for those whose undergraduate degrees are in areas other than business
administration but whose aspirations or present responsibilities are in business
administration. Those whose baccalaureate degree is business administration, or
who have completed 30 or more semester hours of business administration
coursework as part of their undergraduate degree program, cannot be considered
for admission to the MBA Program at UM-D. Required courses in the program are
offered at the University of Michigan-Dearborn during the early evening hours.
