Description:
The Graduate Counseling Program is designed to prepare students with the
professional knowledge and skills they need to act as facilitators of change and
growth for individuals, groups, and organizations. Counseling Program graduates
receive a Master of Science degree and are prepared to work as professional
counselors in a variety of settings. Students who complete the School Counseling
track, a 51 credit hour program, are eligible to be licensed to practice as
school counselors in the state of Vermont. Students who graduate from the Mental
Health track, a 60 credit hour program, are able to apply for licensure as
mental health counselors after completing additional post-degree requirements.
You may choose the Dual option, both school and mental health, that requires 69
credit hours. Application deadline if February 1 for fall admission.

Description:
Applicants must have completed at least three years of undergraduate study at an
institution accredited by the National Committee of Regional Accrediting
Agencies in the U.S. or Canada. The baccalaureate degree is strongly encouraged.
An applicant's undergraduate studies must include one year or eight credits each
of biology, physics, general chemistry, and organic chemistry. One year of
laboratory must be included with each of these prerequisites. The required
courses should be completed at the time of application. If they are not,
detailed plans for completion by the end of the spring semester for the entering
year must be listed on the transcript portion of the American Medical College
Application Service (AMCAS) application.

The UVM Neuroscience program emphasizes multidisciplinary training in
Neuroscience research with an intent to prepare students for a variety of
science related careers in addition to tenure-stream academic careers. Our goal

Description:
The Plant and Soil Science program allows students to expand their knowledge of
science and apply it to plant production, landscape design, and environmental
issues related to plants and soils. Our program provides a unique,
interdisciplinary opportunity to study plant/soil ecosystems that are managed
for food, feed, or fiber production, for landscape purposes, or for
recycling/waste utilization, areas that are very important from societal and
environmental perspectives.
