Description:
The Department of Administrative Leadership contributes to the development of
competent, inquiring educational leaders, particularly for service in urban
areas, through
(1) the academic preparation of professionals for administrative and leadership
responsibilities,
(2) research and other scholarly activity, and
(3) service to the education profession and to educational institutions and
programs.

The program encourages students to develop familiarity with a broad range of
stylistic periods and with research techniques employed in their study. It
prepares students for advanced work leading to the Ph.D. and through the
Certificate in Art Museum Studies, for careers in curatorial, educational and

Description:
The graduate programs in Biological Sciences involve coursework and research
leading to the Master of Science degree or the Ph.D. degree. Both degree
programs are administered by the departmental Director of Graduate Studies; and
a Graduate Committee composed of faculty and graduate student representatives
from within the Department. The diverse interests of the faculty provide
opportunities for graduate research in a variety of subdisciplines including
cellular and molecular biology, microbiology, physiology and neurobiology,
animal behavior, evolutionary biology, population and community ecology,
conservation biology, systematics, plant morphology and physiology, limnology,
and biogeochemistry.
