Description:
Villa Julie College's Master of Science in Advanced Information Technologies (AIT) provides students with the technical knowledge required to help organizations achieve a competitive advantage in an increasingly global, technology-driven, and information-rich marketplace. The degree program accomplishes this by providing students not only with knowledge about a wide variety of technologies and their architectures but also with an understanding of how technologies can be integrated, with each other and within the organizational structure. Unlike other programs that focus on the learning of one or more specific technologies or on the management of technologies, this program addresses what is perhaps the most important business issue; the integration of the full range of information technologies within an organization, from both the strategic as well as the operational perspective.

Graduates of Villa Julie's master's degree program in Advanced Information Technologies are prepared to assume the role of Systems Integrator, Senior Systems Designer or Senior Application Developer. They will understand hardware and software standards, the architectures of current and emerging information technologies, and the impact of these technologies on competition, organizational structure and the nature of work. They will have the knowledge and ability to communicate effectively on business and technical concerns with all levels of personnel both within and external to the organization.
