Adolescence has been called the most difficult stage of the human being. It
is a time of transition that every young person has to deal with. Today's youth
have grown up with the threat of a war, drug and alcohol within reach, teenage
pregnancies, and violence everywhere. In addition to undergo those factors,
adolescents experience a search for identity. Frank Chin's Donald Duk tells the
story of a twelve-year-old that is burdened by his name and embarrassed by his
Chinese heritage. At the end he finds out the true story of his legacy and this
