Letter of Recommendation - Questions & Answers

I'm interested in working with teens and I want a graduate degree in psychology. What kinds of programs should I look for? Clinical psychology? Also, can I just attend the same school where I received my undergraduate degree? How important is it that I get each degree from a different school?

If you're interested in adolescent development and want to teach at a university, then a developmental psychology program is the way to go.

Is it important to receive your degrees from different institutions? If you want to practice, it's not important. It might become important if you want an academic position because it would suggest that you haven't been exposed to multiple paradigms and ways of conceptualizing issues.
